Project completed Fall of 2024
The problem: A property was being transformed into new commercial development, and infrastructure, including roadways and utilities, needed to be built.
The solution/work performed: We constructed approximately 3,000′ of new roadway which included curb, sidewalks, storm and sanitary sewers, and water main. A large retention basin was also dug to contain the site’s storm water.
What was interesting about this project: Constructing new roads is always fun. This project had an intermediate completion date that stated all utilities had to be installed by the end of the year. This allowed some off-season work for our pipe crews. In the spring, the roadway was graded, chemically modified subgrade treatment was installed, concrete was poured, asphalt was placed, and lawn was seeded. We also used a telebelt truck with a 125′ reach to place 1,500 ton of stone in the bottom of the basin which would have difficult to access otherwise.
