Project completed Spring 2024
The problem: The City of Goshen needed to install new water main to service a new industrial development. The new industrial development also created a larger demand on the existing water system which then needed to be connected to or “looped” to another water main in order to maintain balanced water pressure and ensure enough flow to all residents. The City also needed to provide sanitary sewer to the newly developed area.
The Solution: Constructed 11,000’ of water main and 2,000’ of sanitary force main.
What was interesting about this project: We were responsible for three jack and bores under Norfolk-Southern rails. This required dewatering using deep wells. We were also responsible for the horizontal directionally drilled (HDD) water main that went under a large creek and the force main that was drilled underneath and parallel to an existing road. This project ran very smoothly considering the amount of coordination needed with the railroad, local businesses, residents, and other contractors working adjacent to us. This project was constructed on time and under budget.
